Marshall County HOPE is a consortium of organizations from diverse services. These organizations have come together with two overarching goals: 1-reduce the opioid epidemic in Marshall County; 2-provide consistent and encouraging support throughout the journey back to physical, mental and emotional health. More specifically, Marshall County HOPE’s efforts focus on education, coordination, and sustainment. Some of the expanded resources Marshall County HOPE provides include: adolescent and parental evidence-based prevention education, trauma-informed law enforcement and emergency teams, navigation services, medical and mental health coordination, and stigma-reducing opportunities to engage.

Recovery is more than just overcoming addiction-it’s about rebuilding lives, restoring hope, and building a strong support system within the community. At Marshall County Hope, we are dedicated to walking with others on their Recovery journey, making sure they have the resources they need, as well as guidance and encouragement so they know that they are not alone on their journey.
I am a Recovering Addict myself and I have devoted my life to helping others that struggle with Substance Use Disorder as well. My years in addiction have prepared me for this mission. I am well aware of the hold it can have on you but I also know that with the right pieces in place, anyone can live a life in Recovery. I am living proof.
I will be assisting those in jail by helping them with their plan after their release. I will work with them to make sure their needs are meant. I will help them with resources that is vital to their success like health insurance, mental health services, employment, transportation, or even finding a Sober Living Home if that is their path.
My purpose is to help others find their path to Recovery so they can live a life free from the chains of addiction. For some, it starts with someone to give their support and show them what Recovery looks like.

I truly enjoy helping people in all realms. My whole life has been surrounded by substance use, trauma, and loss. The most impactful loss was my children's father due to an overdose in 2010. I believe support and encouragement is what people need in doing the job that I do. It gives others a chance at survival. I walk alongside those who face the struggles and work with all individuals everyday encouraging growth and success. I will never, ever judge anyone because of their history, because I to have been at the lowest of lows. I keep most my story private because people who know my story have judged me unjustly.

In the nursing profession, I have seen many people see their way to death. Now, working with my peers, I hope to help just as many prosper in their lives. When doing this job, I view things as if this were my family, how would I want someone to help them? If this were my child, how would I hope someone treats them? If this were me, how would I have wanted someone to help me? I have had many successes and I will not allow other people's opinions to cause me to stop being supportive of those who truly need support. If someone had given up on me, I would not be where I am today!

I went from a single teen mom and high school dropout to a thriving career and life because people believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.
